Liv Antonecchia has been working in ceramics for over twenty years. Liv attended Virginia Commonwealth University in the art program and concentrated in ceramics and glass working, graduating in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
After college Liv went on to work in studios and several American Craft galleries in the northeast. In 2001 she decided to pursue functional ceramics and set up a home studio in Silver Spring, Maryland. After having her first daughter in 2004 her family moved to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. For the last ten years Liv worked part-time from home making functional stoneware pottery and selling them in area shops, galleries and local shows in the Charleston region.
In 2014, she opened up Surface Craft Gallery in downtown Charleston. For three years she represented and sold work from area artists as well as her own work.
Today, Liv works with clay from her Mount Pleasant home studio to create functional and sculptural ceramics for home and garden.
